Why teleprompters need mirrored text
A hardware teleprompter puts your phone or tablet face up under a sheet of beam splitter glass angled at 45 degrees. You read the reflection, and the camera looks straight through the glass behind it. A reflection is reversed, so the source has to be mirrored first.
